Glasgow paraplanner Steven McBurnie has been named chair of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Paraplanner Interest Group (PPIG). With a background at Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie, McBurnie brings a wealth of experience to this role, having been an active member of the CISI PPIG committee for five years. He holds certifications as a financial planner, a CISI Chartered Fellow in financial planning, and a CISI Chartered Wealth Manager.
McBurnie takes over the position from Dan Atkinson, tasked with leading a committee that caters to both CISI members and non-members who share a dedication to the paraplanning profession. The PPIG hosts various events throughout the year, including the crucial CISI annual Paraplanner Conference.
