Anna Sue Jacobson, a beloved resident of Roseville, Minnesota, passed away at the age of 84, surrounded by her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to her family and community. Anna was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, survived by her husband of 66 years, Lyle Norman, and her children and grandchildren.
Born on August 13, 1940, in Roseville, Anna’s life was filled with accomplishments and service. She graduated from Fort Smith Senior High School in Arkansas and later obtained her professional designation of RP from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. Anna was a trailblazer in the field of financial paraplanning, co-authoring courses and becoming the first registered paraplanner in history.
Throughout her career, Anna worked at Carlson Companies for a decade and was actively involved in various organizations. She served as the President of two PTAs, St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, and the Minnesota Suburban Ramsey Business and Professional Woman’s Organization. Her dedication and achievements led her to be named the BPW Woman of the Year in 1983.
Aside from her professional endeavors, Anna was a survivor of breast and colon cancer, showcasing her resilience and strength. She had a passion for music, playing the piano, attending church, traveling, boating, golfing, and spending time with her loved ones. Every New Year’s Day, she delighted in preparing a Southern meal for her family.
Anna’s impact extended beyond her professional and personal life. She was known for her generosity, kindness, and unwavering support for those around her. Her involvement in various boards and organizations reflected her commitment to making a difference in the community.
Visitation and funeral services to honor Anna’s life will be held at Saint Michael’s Lutheran Church in Roseville. Family and friends will gather to pay their respects and celebrate the remarkable life of Anna Sue Jacobson. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation are encouraged to honor Anna’s memory and continue her legacy of giving back.
As the community mourns the loss of Anna Jacobson, her spirit lives on through the memories she created and the lives she touched. Her dedication to her family, career, and community serves as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
